The Past in present

Happy Monday all.I hope you had a fabulous weekend.I was debating whether to update this blog today or not, considering the circumstance I am in at the moment. As human beings, we sometimes face situations that are painful and complex for us to decipher. My best friend has just lost her only brother, and of course this has a negative impact on me as well.I am reminded  of the pain my family and I went through when my  sister Ruth died in September last year. But that is a story for another day which i will give details in the future.

This LBD(Little Black dress) has a long story but i will make it short. When i was growing(until today) my sisters and I would share and swap clothes depending on  the body sizes of the party involved. The best part was that our body sizes and height were almost the same.

My late sister Ruth gave me this dress, I think few hours after purchasing it back in 2012. She had bought it for herself and unfortunately  it was shorter than she had anticipated. She later gave it to me,and that is how I got it.
It is  the first  time I am wearing it since the beginning of the year and after her death, though it brings mixed memories whenever I set my eyes on it.
It is a gift that will forever leave a mark in my heart and a lesson;to always appreciate those who surround me when I still have a chance.I urge you to do the same.

                Ruth.
This is how  she wore the LBD .

POLKA DOTTED KAFTAN

I regret taking too long to wear this kaftan that I bought way way back. I might have been scared or not confident enough to do so but eventually I had to let that go. The Baggy Short

This pair of denim short dates back to a few months back. When I bought it I was so sure I would wear it almost immediately, but that did not happen. You will be surprised to know that at times I am oblivious of how to wear some clothes. This may sound ridiculous, but it’s true. The short is a perfect example. The reason is simple; it is baggy and saggy making it impossible for someone of my body structure to pull it off with a fitting top. Eventually I figured it out how. A Baggy vest salvaged me from a wardrobe malfunction,Take a look at it and let me know y'all think. Thank you for visiting ...

Walking by Mary Mary.

Good morning all. I hope you all started the week well.  As a lover of fashion, I tend to focus more on an artist's outfit in a video than the music itself. So when I came along this video today morning (I have watched it before though) I was impressed as always by  Tina and Erica Campbell's appearances in the video   from the beginning to the end. Mary Mary are well known for their gospel songs worldwide, their style here is decent and tres chic. One can therefore relate their songs with their style, though some Christians may think otherwise. I fell in love with these fashion statements: 1. Erica's brown leather jacket, the multi-coloured scarf, the burgundy blouse and the leather jegging. 2. Tina's brown cinch belt and the yellow dress . Give me your views after watching the video. Thank you for stopping by...
