The Past in present

Happy Monday all.I hope you had a fabulous weekend.I was debating whether to update this blog today or not, considering the circumstance I am in at the moment. As human beings, we sometimes face situations that are painful and complex for us to decipher. My best friend has just lost her only brother, and of course this has a negative impact on me as well.I am reminded  of the pain my family and I went through when my  sister Ruth died in September last year. But that is a story for another day which i will give details in the future.

This LBD(Little Black dress) has a long story but i will make it short. When i was growing(until today) my sisters and I would share and swap clothes depending on  the body sizes of the party involved. The best part was that our body sizes and height were almost the same.

My late sister Ruth gave me this dress, I think few hours after purchasing it back in 2012. She had bought it for herself and unfortunately  it was shorter than she had anticipated. She later gave it to me,and that is how I got it.
It is  the first  time I am wearing it since the beginning of the year and after her death, though it brings mixed memories whenever I set my eyes on it.
It is a gift that will forever leave a mark in my heart and a lesson;to always appreciate those who surround me when I still have a chance.I urge you to do the same.

                Ruth.
This is how  she wore the LBD .

Taming The Weather

Happy New year ! As the year begins, it is natural to be enthusiastic about everything. Resolutions have been set, some people have decided to turn over a new leaf , quit drinking and the mammoths of new year resolutions we all make. Good luck with that. We are back to the month of January and it is typical of it to be associated with relatively high temperatures which calls for a dress down. This essentially means we need to rummage through our  closets for clothes to match the weather. Here’s the ultimate pointer; It is most important to consider light weight clothes because they do not trap sweat or heat on the skin and thus prevent profuse sweating. Remember it’s not just about looking good but rather choosing a deliberate style. For instance, being keen on color, pattern, and texture of a cloth will influence the overall success of the outfit. I therefore advise light colored clothes which will not absorb too much heat. Also, it is important to ensure that the texture of you...

The Baggy Short

This pair of denim short dates back to a few months back. When I bought it I was so sure I would wear it almost immediately, but that did not happen. You will be surprised to know that at times I am oblivious of how to wear some clothes. This may sound ridiculous, but it’s true. The short is a perfect example. The reason is simple; it is baggy and saggy making it impossible for someone of my body structure to pull it off with a fitting top. Eventually I figured it out how. A Baggy vest salvaged me from a wardrobe malfunction,Take a look at it and let me know y'all think. Thank you for visiting ...
