The Story Behind the Camera

For the longest time, I had this rudimentary approach to conducting business on this platform. Being a fashion blog, the greatest challenge was getting the real good photos that would sell to you, the  audience. Pictures in this kind of business are worth more than an arm and a leg, If it does not sing as a thumbnail, no amount of Photoshop will make it easy on the eye. You can never go wrong with a good picture, because essentially it gives the subject the fundamental design, shape and color that is the end product. Enter Vee and Dee photography, the people behind my photo catalogue, and the game change.
We moved from simple click and snap photography, to serious swashbuckling, production based kind of photography. I found myself being schooled on numerous things that previously would have passed for mundane. Photo sessions weren't just ordinary any more. They now required pro postures, calculated angling and interesting of all a little bit of directing that made the whole thing look something straight out of a Hollywood set.
What would normally take ten minutes, now required days of preparation, because when you work with the best, you step up or risk steeping out. This is not a commercial people, it’s a tribute to the people who bring you the photos that make this blog tick. The folks at Vee and Dee are more than just the camera, they know that the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity. A lot of credit doesn’t go to the people who really deserve it, People spot a big black lens, and they worry about what they're doing, or how their hair looks. Nobody see the person holding the camera. But as style leniency we are indeed grateful to Victor and Doreen.

POLKA DOTTED KAFTAN

I regret taking too long to wear this kaftan that I bought way way back. I might have been scared or not confident enough to do so but eventually I had to let that go. The Baggy Short

This pair of denim short dates back to a few months back. When I bought it I was so sure I would wear it almost immediately, but that did not happen. You will be surprised to know that at times I am oblivious of how to wear some clothes. This may sound ridiculous, but it’s true. The short is a perfect example. The reason is simple; it is baggy and saggy making it impossible for someone of my body structure to pull it off with a fitting top. Eventually I figured it out how. A Baggy vest salvaged me from a wardrobe malfunction,Take a look at it and let me know y'all think. Thank you for visiting ...

Walking by Mary Mary.

Good morning all. I hope you all started the week well.  As a lover of fashion, I tend to focus more on an artist's outfit in a video than the music itself. So when I came along this video today morning (I have watched it before though) I was impressed as always by  Tina and Erica Campbell's appearances in the video   from the beginning to the end. Mary Mary are well known for their gospel songs worldwide, their style here is decent and tres chic. One can therefore relate their songs with their style, though some Christians may think otherwise. I fell in love with these fashion statements: 1. Erica's brown leather jacket, the multi-coloured scarf, the burgundy blouse and the leather jegging. 2. Tina's brown cinch belt and the yellow dress . Give me your views after watching the video. Thank you for stopping by...
